I have been a Certified Athletic Therapist in the Calgary area for 11 years, and started Slate Athletic Therapy in 2021 to serve the Town of Crossfield (where I reside with my family), the Village of Duchess, and surrounding rural communities. I have done coursework in Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and completed my Yoga Teacher Training to compliment my practice. I work with the patient as a whole to identify the source of the problem, and I prefer blending manual, hands-on techniques with exercise to restore patient wellness. I am intrigued by complex and chronic cases, and find myself often faced with people who feel that they have tried everything or have been resistant to treatment. I believe in intentional listening, considering the whole person, and sustainable progress in the pursuit of long term well being. I have a special interest in working with other moms experiencing pregnancy related conditions. I have done continuing education in pelvic health, diastasis recti and core recovery, and healing after Caesarean Birth, and am always looking for new ways to help moms achieve better health. Outside of work, I love my kids, my dog, yoga, gardening, trashy tv, learning new things, and getting outdoors.

My name is Haley Decker and I am an RMT. I graduated in 2021 from M.H. Vicars School of Massage Therapy with 2200 hours. I have training in cupping therapy, hot stone therapy, and stretching techniques. I will soon be completing an oncology course.

I would describe my personality type as a helper. I worked with people with disabilities for most of my life and with children.

What I enjoy about massage is helping people getting back to their normal daily activities, helping someone de-stress, connecting with people and educating clients.

How do I help my clients? Using techniques that help with chronic pain, injuries, and relaxation. Clients have described my massages as a mixture of relaxation and therapeutic.
